Well race fans, today is the day. Millsvideo.tv is FINALLY here. After 32 years of shooting racing video, I now have somewhere to put it all. Some place other than a storage space or my garage. What you see here is the culmination of decades of work, and a few years of planning. This website promises to one day be the largest dirt short track video database in the history of the sport. Over the course of the next decade, we will be updating this site daily with content, both new and old. If you are a race fan, and for some strange reason you don’t see something that interests you today, hang on, I promise you will in due time.

At this moment, the site is relatively rudimentary in terms of what we intend to do with the content we have. It has 175 Premium Content videos up, covering racing of all kinds, from Pure stocks, Late models, Street Stocks, to TQs and Outlaw Karts, to Sprint Cars, Midgets, and Silver Crown cars. It also has a number of free videos that we put together that you can access from around the web. But, that is just the tip of the iceberg.

In the coming months, we have a multi-tiered plan to bring you tons of Premium content (full race events), as well as free-view videos that will range from on-board footage to driver interviews, to shop tours, and even music videos. We will also be expanding on the races that are already up, and going back and finding the cool pit shots and pre-race interviews we have done over the years. This is what I call my “Dick Wallen” footage. Most of which has never seen the light of day. These are the true gems of my work. I can’t wait to have the time to sift through it all, find it, and cultivate it for your viewing pleasure.

In the coming years, we will be expanding our focus to include documentaries, and spotlight videos, focusing on various eras, careers, and specific great days in our history of covering events. We also intend to give credit where credit is due, and will be focusing on the archives of Grove Hill’s Quality Race Video library. As of now, there are only a few examples of Grove’s work on the site. But that is going to change drastically in the coming weeks and months. It is my goal to preserve Grove’s legacy as the premiere videographer in Northern California winged Sprint Car racing during the heyday of the late 80s-90s-2000s.

One thing I want to make clear to everyone that visits this site. And this is THE MOST IMPORTANT thing to me. This is a labor of love for me. It’s my life’s work, but this is also what I do for enjoyment. While this is A LOT of work, to me, it’s all about enjoyment. I want to be able to share my work with every race fan who cares to see it. I’ve been involved in this sport since I was 7 years old. I’ve been shooting video of it since I was 15. I’ve been very fortunate in my life to see and cover some very cool things in my career. All of which I wish to share with you, the race fan. Racing people are my extended family. And this site is my love letter to my fellow racing enthusiasts.

Therefore, I wish to say, if you are having a problem with the site, please don’t get irate with me. Contact me, and I will fix your problem as quickly as possible. I will do everything I can to make you happy as a “customer”. But more so, I view you as a fellow race fan, who simply wants to relive the glory days. It is my goal to provide everyone with a great experience of going back over the years of video that I have compiled and to be able to bring back the days of yesteryear into your living room. This site is all about having a high level of enjoyment. Please always remember that. We are all in this together.

And remember, this is a work in progress. I have always said that the day I stop chasing race cars full time, I will have two lifetimes of work ahead of me. Well, I haven’t stopped, just slowed down a little. And, I am getting a jump on my workload. I can’t wait to dig in further. There is a lot of great video to be cultivated…Stay tuned and you will get to see it all. Thanks for stopping by and taking a look at the site. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed creating it for you. Sincerely,

Dean Mills
